These events are only for SEPnet postgraduate and postdoctoral researchers. These events are free to attend (SEPnet pays for your course fees) for SEPnet postgraduate researchers and you should be able to claim for your travel expenses either from your department or RTSG. If in doubt, please ask your department about the arrangements for claiming for your travel.
18 October 2023: GRADnet Induction Day for 1st Year Physics PhD students, 229 Great Portland Street, London W1. This is compulsory for all September/October 2023 physics PhD starters. Register here by 4 October 2023.
18 & 23 November 2023: Institute of Physics LaTex webinars: 18 November, 13:00 LaTeX for scientific reports 1: Getting started with new documents’ (open to all students) and 23 November, 18:30 LaTeX for scientific reports 2: Getting advanced with documents’ (open to IOP members). Register here.
6-7 February 2024: Turning Science into Business at IOP, 37 Caledonian Road, Kings Cross, London N1 9BU. First day in person and second day online on Zoom. Register here by 23 January 2024.
13 March 2024: Student-led Conferences at 229 Great Portland Street: “Quantum Futures” and “Physics is You! Celebrating diversity and discussing challenges in Physics“. Look out for calls for abstracts for both conferences in January 2024! Registration closes 1 March 2024.
20 March 2024: Developing knowledge and skills in Public Engagement Workshop at the Royal Astronomical Society, Burlington House, Piccadilly, London. In person only workshop. Register here by 10 March 2024.
