Welcome to SEPnet’s Intersectional PhD Peer Support network (IPPSnet)!
We support physics PhD students from diverse backgrounds who are studying at SEPnet universities.
We aim to create a friendly and supportive intersectional community to provide peer support and mentoring! We welcome all students of diverse identities, including with respect to:
- gender identity,
- national origin,
- sexual orientation,
- socioeconomic status, and
- access to education/first in family status.
We run an informal networking event on the first Thursday of every month and all are welcome to attend. Our Autumn term events are: Thursday 7th October at 12.30 pm, Thursday 4th November TBC, Thursday 2nd December TBC.

Peer Mentoring and Support
We are in the process of setting up a peer mentoring scheme for PhD students across SEPnet, which is launching in Autumn 2021. If you are interested in getting involved as a mentor or mentee, please email us for more information or to express interest.
