This website was created for GRADnet following a call for e-module proposals with the inspiration 'I wish I had known earlier.' The website and its contents has been authored by April Cridland from the University of Sussex and Rosh Sellahewa from the University of Surrey.

April Cridland

I am a doctoral researcher working in the Electron Quantum circuits group at Sussex University, supervised by Dr Jose Verdu. We are creating a scalable Planar Penning Trap with the intention of trapping one single electron. I am also a qualified secondary school teacher and specialist marker for the examining body OCR. I have created the website framework, written content with examples and quizzes.

I'm Rosh Sellahewa, a final year PhD student at the University of Surrey, studying theoretical nuclear physics. My research interests include finite-range forces, superfluidity, and properties of neutron stars. I started using LaTeX in the final year of my degree and have been a convert ever since, and so I've made and narrated some screen caps to help you learn how to make the most of the LaTeX environment.

Thanks

Thanks go to Abhijit Mathad for his support during the creation of this webpage and his time in creating some of the examples in TeXmaker. Thanks also go to this years other e-module creators for their mutual support and friendly demeanour during the training and implementation phase of this project.
